Answer and Explanation :-

Answer: Option 1

Radar was developed over the years with input from many sources, but it was Robert Watson Watt, a Scottish Physicist looking for a reliable method to help airmen locate and avoid approaching thunderstorms, who designed the first set put into practical use in 1935 and was immediately employed as part of England's defensive strategy against sea and air attacks. It is widely regarded that the use of his built Radar in World War II helped greatly in saving Britain from the onslaught of the Nazi air strikes and win the Battle of Britain in 1940.
